The Belt of TRUTH
There is so much to say about this part of our armor. As I'm typing, I'm praying that the Holy Spirit will help me be brief as possible, yet clear.
In Physical Therapy, I was taught that a strong core supports entire body health. You can be heavy yet have a strong core, it just won't show.
The Belt of Truth is a very thick belt that supports the Unity of the upper strength and lower strength of the body. It helps the entire body work as one being the center of balance.
As a believer, Biblical Truth becomes our Absolute Truth in life. Two definitions of "absolute" are:
-
not qualified or diminished in any way; total.
-
viewed or existing independently and not in relation to other things; not relative or comparative.
God's Absolute Truth, in His Torah (Instruction, like an arrow that hits its mark), exists as our only moral compass in life. I Love how God's tabernacle was placed in the middle where the Tribes of Israel set up camp to the North, South, East, and West.
In the second book of Timothy, it says,
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
This is a very personal application as it begins to deal with the heart. Another person can't do this unless someone is sincerely honest about their own inner wickedness. That is why it is primarily up to the individual to be responsible for their knowledge of the Holy Scriptures.
Today, everyone can own a bible. There is no need to hear it in a synagogue. Apostles, Prophets, pastors and teachers exist to "equip" the saints with this knowledge. That is their primary objective - to bring to Spiritual Maturity - immature converts. If a person does not make a mastery of scripture in their life, how can they honestly identify as a believer?
The Word of God is Absolute Truth that stands apart from every worldly
narrative or voice throughout all the ages.
-
It answers every argument
-
Solves every difficult decision.
-
It is a Pure Moral center.
-
It's reliable.
-
If you put its principles to practice, it does not fail. Only we fail.
That's why the bible teaches us to gird up with the belt of Truth around our waist as a strong support. To keep us as Upright as we can ever be amongst a corrupt and dying culture. The narrative of the world will always be death, separation, and chaos.
God's Absolute Truth will always be Life, Unity, and Order.
Shalom, Todd Mailen, a Student of His Word
